-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- None

Review of previous meeting minutes:

- Mike: It was recorded that Lance moved to approve Apr 24 minutes,
and Bob Ross seconded. That was a cut and paste error. The correction
is that Bob Ross moved to approve the minutes and Mike LaBonte seconded.
- Bob Ross moved to approve the May 15 minutes with correction as noted.
Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the minutes were approved.

ARs:

- Mike LaBonte to complete BIRD appendix for parser contract.
  - No progress, only BIRDs 189.x and 194 remains.

IBISCHK7 parser development:
- Bob: There may be syntax issues regarding BIRD 194/158.7.
  - The Reserved_Parameters Tx_V, Tx_R, Rx_R might require
    must/must not be present checks.
- Mike: Only Tx_V is required by the BIRD.
  - That requirement should be for Tx only, but it doesn't say that.
- Bob: We would have to follow the rules for determining Tx/Rx.
  - IBIS has a table of Reserved_Parameters Tx/Rx mappings.
- Mike: It is not certain that ibischk6 has the ability to determine that.
  - It could assume that any Tx-only parameter means it is a Tx.

- Mike showed the IBIS 6.1 AMI Defined Direction table 38.
- Mike: Model_type establishes what can be Tx/Rx.
  - When ibischk6 -ami is used, that information is absent,
so that kind of checking can't be done.
  - Does ibischk6 apply the additional checking when checking AMI from a .ibs file ?
- Bob: Table 39 seems to allow an I/O to have only one DLL.
- Mike: We decided that a single DLL could do both.
- Bob: Having Tx_V and/or Tx_R AND Rx_R would be a contradiction.
- Mike: Agree.
  - We could ask Atul two questions:
    - Does ibischk6 ever know if an AMI file is absolutely Tx and/or absolutely Rx?
    - Does it apply additional checks on .ami files called from .ibs vs. standalone -ami?
- Bob: I think some of those checks are done.

AR: Bob Ross to determine extent of ibischk6 AMI Tx/Rx checks.

New IBISCHK bugs:
- Bob: I haven't yet determined whether to submit BUG197.
  - We might need a BIRD instead.
- Lance: Both problem should be error messages, but it would be OK for one to be a warning.
- Bob: It was a pathological case.

- Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded.
  - The meeting ended without objection.

Meeting ended: 11:59 ET
